At primary level

To achieve the aim of Primary Education to develop Social, Cognitive, Analytical, Cultural, Emotional and Physical skills of children, the School focuses on experiential learning and focuses on communication skills apart from reading, writing and arithmetic skills. We focus on flexible, multi-level, activity based and play based learning apart from the classroom academic learning. Children are encouraged to explore, experience, inquire, assimilate and look for alternate solutions.



At secondary level

At this stage, we emphasize on self-directed learning. From the middle school, the curriculum takes on a broader charter. It focuses on a subject-based curriculum along with meaningful and enriching assignments for accentuating learning experience. Early in preparation and far-reaching in vision, at this stage, Smita Patil Public School insists on inquiry orientation by developing analytical ethos along with writing and oral skills. Students work independently and also in groups. Learning is based on their spirit of inquiry and their progression of discovering knowledge or “active learning.” The purpose and function of this learner-cantered approach is to apply knowledge and skills to deal with real life problems. This approach by Smita Patil Public School makes the curriculum rise above mere rote learning.

The pedagogy effort at all levels at Smita Patil Public School, is based on developing multiple intelligences to encourage each child to strengthen own unique potential and enabling each child to achieve his/her goals in the area of his/her interest and aptitude.
